One Client’s Experience

Well hello all of my beautiful, fellow fashionistas! Did you think I fell off the face of the earth? My apologies as it’s been a hot minute since I’ve written a blog. In all truthfulness, it’s really difficult to keep all aspects moving forward (full time job, part time job as a social stylist, social media platforms, health challenges, life!) and making it all worthwhile for you to want to continue to follow along on the journey of being “cute and trendy no matter your age or size”! Therefore, I’ve had to decide where to put my very limited time and energy so I let the blog fall by the wayside. I would never want to throw something together for the sake of publishing. Additionally, I just haven’t felt like I had anything new or worthy of sharing here. I’m sure you understand. However, I’m really excited to write and share this blog with you!

Introducing Date Coach Bernadette

Bernadette and I met virtually on Instagram (IG). As with many of the women I have had the good fortune of meeting on IG, Bernadette and I had an immediate liking and connection. Although Bernadette is a dating coach, which I have no need for as I’m happily married for 37 years and counting, I love the messages that Bernadette shares with her followers and those getting back into the dating arena. Her messages are always positive and uplifting! In other words, good for all! Bernadette reached out to me with the idea of going live on IG. She gave dating advice; and I would share styling ideas for given dates: outdoor activities, wine tasting to name a few. We haven’t gone live in some time. Not because we don’t want to…we had a blast together but because time is so limited. We’re hoping to get back to doing lives in the near future. What would you like us to discuss?

Bernadette Comes to Chicago

Bernadette lives in Canada so we hadn’t met in real life until this March when she came into Chicago for a brief trip with her daughter. When she asked if I’d be able to get together with her while she was here and style her, my immediate answer was YES! I could hardly wait! We arranged to meet at Chico’s in Water Tower Place. We were like kids in a candy store! We couldn’t stop smiling, chatting, laughing…it was like reconnecting with a life long friend even though it was our first time together in person!

As a Social Stylist, my mission is to always ensure that each and every women feels absolutely fantastic and LOVES the outfit/s, to have a positive, fun experience and feel like a million bucks! Every women no matter her age or size should wear what makes her happy and feel confident! Bernadette’s Styling Experience

Bernadette shared her thoughts with me regarding her experience about being styled by me. I thought it worth sharing with you as you might be wondering what is styling all about and could it be something you’d find valuable and worthwhile. I did ask her to honestly share with me her thoughts and that I’d value her honest feedback! Here’s what she had to say about her styling experience with me…

I must give a shout out here to the Water Tower Chico’s store manager, Silvia and associate, Brianne. I was able to work with them in advance of Bernadette’s arrival. They pulled the things I requested since I live over an hour away (plus it was St. Patrick’s day parade/celebration so my commute was over 2 hours that day). Team work is the dream work!

When Bernadette came out of the fitting room in this top she said, “I don’t like black; and I don’t like stripes but I LOVE this outfit!” We sure had a good laugh! I love when women that I work with and style will give some new things a try. On occasion the things we think or tell ourselves about what we can and cannot wear, are not always true! I think Bernadette surprised even herself! She loved the necklace and matching earrings…also out of her comfort zone!

You can see in the next two pictures that Bernadette is wearing our Linen No Iron Shirt layered over a white tank. In the first picture, she’s wearing jeans and a statement necklace. Lastly, I thought I should share my outfit I wore that day. If you follow me on Instagram, you know I’ve been wearing the heck out of this cropped tweed jacket! Yes, I’m a sucker for all the tweed jackets! However, the styling options are endless! They will always be on trend and a classic! They make me happy! Enough said…

I’m pictured here with Maggie, store manager of Chico’s Downtown Naperville. You can see I also wore the tweed jacket over a column of white! Maggie is pictured with the same cute floral applique top as Bernadette. Isn’t it cute over the pop of green?! Lastly, this tweed jacket has been a huge hit with many that I’ve styled!
