Back Porch Make Over Part 1 of 2
Interior Design
Yes, you read that right! Lori reached out to me to help her decorate her back porch. Fun fact about me: My first major in college was interior decorating, which lasted all of about a year and half. I truly thought I would be learning to design and was surprised to find out how much drawing was involved. While I truly love interiors, I had no confidence that I would make it into the college of design after spending two years putting together a portfolio and knowing they took a very few number of students. In case you’re wondering, it turned out just fine. I landed in special education and elementary education, which still fulfills me to this day and is truly my passion. Additionally, it’s perfectly fine to have numerous passions!
FTF hopes you enjoy our vlog! Technology isn’t our thing so our videos are pretty much the raw, unedited real deal! Although I have to say, I think we’re getting a lot better! Hope you find the humor in our authentic selves!
Before Pictures
Lori’s porch is a good size and has lots of potential. It doesn’t look bad. We’re going to take good to great with some additional decor and plants.
Lori opted to keep her current furniture and cushions, which you can see are multi-colored stripes along with the navy lumbar pillows. Her wicker furniture is an indigo color.
Virtual Shopping
As mentioned in the video, Lori and I did all of our shopping on line while I was with her. All of the items she purchased came from the following: Grandin Road, Pottery Barn and Amazon. It’s super easy to work with Lori because she knows what she likes and is very decisive! We got together this past weekend and some items have already arrived. We hope you come back for Part 2 to see the finished makeover.
